I gave him his first bath...he was NOT a happy puppy.  Wanted to be held, and was crying, so we didn't finish the bath.  I think not being held was part of it, but the water also could have been too cold.  I tried to get something lukewarm.  Next time I'll just throw on my swimming trunks and hold him in the bath with me as he seemed to calm down right away when I did that.  Took a very long, very deep nap after that.

He is incredibly intelligent and is very watchful to try and figure out our routines.  Whether or not Kevin is coming back after he leaves the room, etc.  He figures out how long I take, too.  If I stay out for too long I hear him to start worrying again.  But if it my average few-second trip, he's learned that is fine.  I'm still trying to teach him that his cage is a GOOD thing, a safe place, etc.

He sleeps at the foot of my bed already, by choice...I've set him up higher next to my head/chest but he always moves down closer to my feet.

Just now he decided that it would be funner to tip his water bowl over instead of drinking it...hehe...I cleaned it up.  My fault, I should have been playing more attention...

He is getting more comfortable about going outside in the cold and the snow, and even wandering out of "touching" range.  He is still very attached to me but is quickly gaining his confidence back that I saw in the videos of him.  He doesn't like stairs at all.  For awhile after he was done going potty he would just sit down and look up at me, expecting to be carried.

Had him in at church for about an hour today since he would not like being left alone that long at all.  He had lots of admirers, and enjoyed the attention, but was still very shy when meeting a bunch of new people all at once.  He's barely had time to get used to us, much less all these others!

He got me up at about 6:00 or so this morning, wanting to play.  I thought it was much earlier as my alarm had not yet gone off (phone sounds were off).  Apparently the ducks were out of feed, I let the system run until I saw all the tubes fill up so they should have had some.  Don't know what happened.  I don't think they were out of feed for any more than an hour, though, as they were not clamoring to eat and crowding around the feeders.  So the ducks were fine!

He was VERY excited to see everyone this morning and did not cry when I left - though he was VERY happy to see me come back when I was done with morning chores :).  I'll get my camera's batteries replaced and get some better pictures here real soon...all these are from my cell phone.
